EveryOtherDayDiet – The Three Primary Plans
The EveryOtherDayDiet is a diet created by formerly obese Jon Benson. Having lost a great deal of weight himself, Jon has put his time and efforts into creating the everyotherdaydiet book so others can share in his nutritional plan that put his life back on the right track.
The Three Plans
With this diet there are three primary plans that you should stick to at the appropriate times to achieve the best results.
- Primer – this is the most flexible plan out of the three plans and during this stage you can basically eat whatever you want every other day. This is the plan that is recommended when you first begin this diet as it is does allow you to eat what you want every second day which helps to keep you motivated to stay on the diet. You don’t feel so much like you are dieting when your diet isn’t completely restricted every day. This is a calorie shifting diet where you mix up the amount of calories you eat from day to day to keep your metabolism working at a high rate.
- Lifestyle – this plan is recommended as the maintenance plan and you should move onto this plan after you have completed the primer phase. During this plan you have two feed days a week where you can eat whatever you want on those two days.
- Extreme – this plan is the strictest of the three and is meant more for athletes and bodybuilders.
Other Criteria
Jon will not guarantee success with his everyotherdaydiet program unless you stick to the following three guidelines, which really are needed to be successful with any diet program.
- Dedication – you need to be dedicated to succeed.
- Exercise – you don’t need to become a super athlete, but you do need to incorporate some exercise into your routine.
- Be realistic – don’t expect to reach your goal weight within a week or two. Set realistic goals because if you set goals that are not realistic and impossible to achieve then you will just become upset when you don’t achieve them and lose motivation to stick with the diet.
The everyotherdaydiet is not a new concept but it is a good one. This program can help you in your weight loss journey to reach that goal weight that has been so difficult to reach in the past. If you want a diet that has proven to give good results, then this is the one I would recommend you try.
